H&T High Rollers

My love of the tortilla pinwheel has been a lifelong one. Even as a kid, when I walked into a party and saw a tray of those little spirals, I would be delighted. Why? Well, why not? You take typical sandwich ingredients and you roll them up into bite-sized pinwheels — that’s way more fun. It somehow makes the ingredients within taste even better, and that’s just the case with this H&T High Rollers, which are my family’s favorite solution for snack, party app, or breaking the lunchbox boredom.

What Ingredients Do You Need for H&T High Rollers?
Great question. Think of a ham and turkey club sub sandwich and you’ve pretty much got it.
You’ll need:

Cream cheese. The necessary binder for every pinwheel. Make sure it’s soft.
Bacon. Cooked and crumbled please.
Cheddar cheese. Grated.
Flour tortillas. The big flour burrito kind.
Ham and turkey. As thinly sliced as you can get ’em. Shaved, even.
Iceberg lettuce. Shred it up!
Olive oil and red wine vinegar, and some oregano, salt, and pepper, to top it off.
How Do You Make H&T High Rollers?
You’re going to start with what is really the “glue” for these pinwheels, and that’s really the cream cheese mixture. For this to be easy, you want to make sure your cream cheese is soft. If you didn’t pull it out of the fridge early enough, you can always place the foil pack in a warm glass of water to soften quickly. You’ll then stir the cheddar cheese and bacon into that and spread it over the tortilla. You want to be generous with it and you want to take it all the way to the edge.

Then, you’ll line one end with the ham and turkey, piling them on top of each other in a single row.
