Step-by-Step Procedure
Sanitize – Rinse a 150 ml glass jar and lid with boiling water, let it air-dry completely.
Prep the Cloves – Lightly crush the cloves to release their natural oils (but don’t powder them).
Warm the Base – Pour baby oil into a small pan, heat on the lowest flame for 2 minutes until just lukewarm (not hot). This preserves nutrients.
Infuse – Add the cloves to the jar, pour in warm baby oil, and stir with a clean spoon. Seal tightly and place the jar in a sunny windowsill for 24 hours, shaking gently every few hours.
Strain – After 24 hours, strain the oil through a muslin cloth or fine sieve into a clean bowl. The oil will look slightly golden and aromatic.
