III.
PRESSURE ON ADJACENT ORGANS
- Frequent Urination or Difficulty Emptying Bladder: Growths like large fibroids can push against the bladder, causing an increased urge to urinate or a feeling that you cannot fully empty your bladder (urinary frequency).
- Persistent Constipation or Bowel Changes: Fibroids or masses pressing against the colon or rectum can cause chronic constipation, straining during bowel movements, or pain in the lower back.
IV.
OTHER CRITICAL SYSTEMIC SIGNS
- Unusual or Foul-Smelling Discharge: A change in the color, texture, or odor of vaginal discharge can signal an infection, but may also be a symptom of a growth or malignancy.
- Unexplained Fatigue and Weakness: This is often a direct result of anemia caused by chronic, heavy blood loss (menorrhagia) from conditions like fibroids. If you feel tired all the time and out of breath, ask your doctor for an iron test.
- Pelvic Lump or Abdominal Enlargement: A palpable or noticeable increase in the size of the abdomen or the appearance of a firm, irregular lump in the pelvis may indicate a large fibroid or other pelvic mass.
