This morning, I walked into my bathroom and froze.
Right there on the floor was this strange, round, bloated creature slowly crawling like it owned the place.
At first glance, I had no idea what it was… but after a closer look, the answer became clear —
It was a fully engorged tick. 😬
Ticks don’t just live in forests or on pets; sometimes they hitch a ride indoors without anyone noticing. When they’ve fed, they swell up into a balloon-like shape, just like the one in the photo.
Why You Shouldn’t Ignore This
Even though this one wasn’t attached to anyone, ticks can carry bacteria and cause infections. Finding one inside the house is a reminder to:
-
Check pets regularly
-
Keep entry points sealed
-
Clean hidden corners
-
Stay alert after outdoor activities
