đż What Is Holy Basil (Tulsi)?
Holy basil, or Ocimum tenuiflorum, is a sacred plant in traditional medicine across Asia. Known as Tulsi in Ayurveda and hĂșng quáșżÂ in Vietnamese cuisine, itâs a potent herb rich in antioxidants, essential oils, vitamins A and C, calcium, zinc, and iron.
Unlike common basil used in pasta dishes, holy basil has deeper healing properties:
-
Rejuvenates skin
-
Stimulates hair follicles
-
Fights inflammation and oxidative stress
-
Supports hormonal balance

My grandmaâs once-silver strands began turning dark again â and no, itâs not magic. Tulsi stimulates melanin production, the pigment responsible for natural hair color. Its antioxidants also protect the scalp and hair from premature aging.
