Once cracked, a healthy egg should have distinct, vibrant components.
Healthy Egg Indicators:
- Firm, round yolk: A strong yolk with deep yellow or orange color (depending on the chicken’s diet) shows good nutrition.
- Thick egg white (albumen): Should be clear and form a firm ring around the yolk. Runny or watery whites can signal age or poor chicken health.
- No odd smells: A fresh, healthy egg should have no scent at all. Any sulfur or foul smell means the egg is spoiled.
