Charcot’s disease: here are the first symptoms of this condition

The form that affects the spinal cord initially manifests as abnormal contractions and spasms in the legs and arms. Patients with this condition may experience muscle weakness and a higher risk of fever.

For those with the bulbar form, the first symptoms are problems with swallowing, chewing, and articulation. It affects the muscles of the mouth and throat.

The health of patients with Charcot’s disease deteriorates between three and five years. Over the years, the symptoms become more severe and widespread.
