Not all patients with this condition experience the same symptoms. They may have joint pain, or a burning sensation. Communication and chewing can also be painful.

Currently, there are no cures for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). However, patients can consult physiotherapists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to reduce their pain and slow the progression of the disease.
