Why is saying “yes” so dangerous?
There’s a scam known as the “yes trap.” It works like this:
They call you and ask you a simple question.
You answer “yes”.
The other person records this response.
It uses it to simulate your consent to a contract, purchase, or authorization.
Then, he presents this recording as “proof” that you agreed to something, when in fact it never happened.
